A public park fountain was upgraded from 250W metal halide fixtures to 54W RGB underwater luminaires, improving energy efficiency while introducing dynamic color to the landscape. Integrated within the fountain, the lighting operates as a distributed media layer—enabling color variation and visual movement that enhances the surrounding environment. Control equipment and power supplies are housed in a nearby lakeside enclosure, while existing wiring was repurposed for signal transmission, minimizing installation impact. The result is a streamlined upgrade that combines performance, flexibility, and visual presence—transforming the fountain into an engaging focal point within the public space.
